Other Spirits
Pernod Fils and Hermard Distilleries created Pernod in 1920 after absinthe was banned in 1915. Pernod is made from star aniseed & fennel. It is also mixed with 14 other herb distillates. Pernod has a small liquorice content. When water is added to Pernod it turns milky. Pernod Absinthe was drunk by Van Gogh & Picasso.

Pere Kermanns is shrowded in lots of myth. Nobody really knows the history of the brand. The only truth for sure, is that this absinthe promotes longevity of life, and the monk on the label extols the benefits. A myth of course.

This monk is not very innocent though, becareful it is as strong as an ox.

La Fee is made in Paris from a secret recipe containing wormwood and aromatic herbs. Like all absintheís La Fee has a rich aniseed taste and smell. Its origins can be dated back to the 1870ís. In 1915 it was banned because of itís alleged properties. La Fee is great both in cocktails or sipped over ice.

La Clandestine is based on a 1935 recipe by Swiss distiller Charlotte Vaucher. Distilled in Switzerland, it has only been released for export in 2005 since the lifting of the Absinthe distillation ban. The brand is made by Claude-Alain Bugnon.

Absinthe Supreme is produced in the shadow of the Slovene Alps. The recipe is inspired by the 18th century herbal recipes originating between Paris and Prague. This recipe contains a blend of carefully selected premium herbs of artemisia, absinthum and a few other special ingredients.
