Tuaca’s origins are a bit unclear. The liqueur is said to have been hand crafted by Lorenzo the Magnificent an Italian ruler who was a patron to Michelangelo & Botticelli. During World War II Americans stationed in Livorno in Italy discovered Tuaca. It was not until the 1950ís that the brand was exported to the United States where it hit the cocktail circuit. Tuaca is a liqueur with a hint of citrus & vanilla drunk neat over ice or in cocktails.

Toussaint originated in Haiti and was named after the slave hero, Toussaint L’Ouverture. It is said that the taste of the brand mirrors the spirit of Toussaint L’Ouverture. General Toussaint L’Ouverture, who was born in 1743 on the North West coast of the French Caribbean Island colony of Saint Domingue, the western part of which became the second independent republic in the western hemisphere in 1804.
